This project determined the chemical-nutritional composition of the main forages, crop residues and food inputs used in the formulation of rations for cattle in the livestock areas of Arequipa, Puno and Cusco, for which the following actions were carried out: Characterize said resources food, determine the content of their cell walls, determine the degradability of the protein and properly estimate the energy value of them, validate a computer program to evaluate and balance rations based on the components previously determined. Finally, compile all this information in a table that can be disseminated to farmers, extension agents and researchers for wide use.
