The Musculoskeletal Research Training Program at Mayo Clinic provides opportunities for postdoctoral fellows, predoctoral Ph.D. students and medical students in basic and clinical musculoskeletal research projects. The scope of research projects spans areas including: Biochemistry Biomechanics Biomedical engineering Endocrinology Epidemiology Genetics Molecular and cellular biology Orthopedics All trainees are expected to make significant contributions to the biomedical literature and to participate in musculoskeletal research workshops and journal clubs.
Each postdoctoral fellow is also expected to submit a grant application for independent research activities by the end of the training period.
